Conte hints at more signings
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has hinted he could add to his squad before the transfer deadline following the Blues’ 3-0 win against Burnley.Goals from Eden Hazard, Willian and Victor Moses earned three points for the Blues - but the Italian says he is still searching for new faces.
“We are working close together, the club and I, and we are trying to find the right solutions to improve this squad,” he said. “We have four days to find this, but I am pleased to work with the squad I have.”
Bamford closing in on Burnley loan
Patrick Bamford is close to joining Burnley on loan, Sean Dyche confirmed after the Clarets’ 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.“Patrick is close,” he said. “It’s just a few I’s getting dotted and t’s getting crossed.
“There are a number of other things closer too, but we still have to get them over the line, so we’ll wait and see.”
Murphy to join Newcastle
Ipswich striker Daryl Murphy will join Newcastle, boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed.Murphy has handed in a transfer request at Portman Road and will move north to St James’ Park.
The Magpies are currently taking on Brighton in the Championship.
Derby sign Vydra
Derby have confirmed the signing of striker Matej Vydra from Watford.Vydra joins the Rams for an undisclosed fee and pens a four-year deal at the iPro.
Derby lost at Burton Albion on Friday night.
Klopp hints Reds won't buy left-back
Jurgen Klopp has hinted Liverpool will not buy a new left-back following their 1-1 draw at Tottenham.“We’re going to need more players for different positions,” he said. “The only decision we made is that Milly can play it, especially in the kind of play we think we should play.
“Full-back is not only a winger in the offensive situations, it’s something like eight (roles) in different moments so that’s a really good position for Milly.
“He still has to adapt and learn because he’s not had 500 games in this position but we will work on it, like we work on every player.
“In the end we were convinced he could play the position and that’s why we didn’t make the transfer. I’m not surprised he can play there.”
Hull close in on Cardiff keeper
Hull are poised to complete the signing of goalkeeper David Marshall from Cardiff.The 31-year-old is set for a £5million switch to the Tigers, with Bluebirds boss Paul Trollope confirming the move is imminent.
He said : “There has been a bid accepted from Hull for David Marshall and he’s agreed personal terms, so that’s imminent.”
Pellegrini back in management
Manuel Pellegrini is back in management with Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.The Chilean, who was replaced by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City over the summer, joins fellow high-profile coaches Sven Goran Eriksson and Luis Felipe Scolari in China.
Pellegrini won the Premier League with City in 2014 but only won the League Cup last season, as well as steering the Blues to the Champions League semi-finals.
He will take charge of players such as Argentine international Exequiel Lavezzi, former Arsenal striker Gervinho and ex-Chelsea star Gael Kakuta with Hebei.
Hebei currently sit fifth in the CSL with seven games remaining.
Berahino needs window to close
Saido Berahino needs the transfer window to close, according to his boss at West Brom Tony Pulis.“He’ll be fine. Getting over the next three or four days will be massive for him,” said Pulis ahead of tomorrow’s showdown with Middlesbrough.
“I just think, one day, I will write a thesis on it. It will be a long one. Is this the fourth or fifth window? It seems like about 20 with him. The kid has had to put up with it, you can’t stop it, unfortunately. Some of the stories I could tell you.”
Prem trio eye Balotelli
A trio of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on Mario Balotelli, according to reports.Gazzetta World say Everton, West Brom and Crystal Palace are all waiting for Balotelli to decide where he wants to move next.
A number of Italian sides are also interested in the enigmatic Liverpool striker.
West Brom close in on loan deal for Jay Rodriguez
The Southampton striker looked set to join Hull City, but West Brom have swooped in and turned the Rodriguez’s head.According to the Express and Star Tony Pulis has offered better personal terms. The Baggies manager wants Rodriguez to come to the Hawthorns and get his career back on track after terrible time with injuries. He tore his ACL in 2014 and has struggling to find his best form.
“That’s not happened for this game which is disappointing for us because we thought it was going to happen but we’re certainly not giving up. The more they (Southampton) bring in the better it is for us,” said Pulis.
“We know Jay’s condition, I’ve spoken to a few people there, we know it’s going to take a few games for him to get back into his stride but I know the lad and he’s a fantastic lad.
“He’ll want to prove to everybody that he can get back to what he was. We want people who have got good attitudes and are also ambitious.”
Newcastle sign Daryl Murphy
The Magpies have agreed a fee with Ipswich for striker Daryl Murphy, according to Sky Sports.The Republic of Ireland international handed in a transfer request at Portman Road, alerting Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez.
The Spaniard is hoping the 33-year-old’s experience and guile at Championship level will help fire his team up the table.
Conte wants former Bolton defender
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is considering a move for Fiorentina left-back Marcos Alonso, says the Daily Telegraph. The Italian wants to strengthen his defence before the transfer window closes and Alonso is on his radar.The left-back, who played for Bolton between 2010 and 2013, is in negotiations with Chelsea ahead of the proposed move.
The 24-year-old, who has 16 caps for Morocco, is having a medical at St James Park today.
West Ham complete deal for Simone Zaza
As reported in today’s Daily Mirror, Juventus striker Simone Zaza is on his way to Upton Park.The Hammers are expected to announce the the deal soon.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to raid (not literally) is former club before the transfer window closes. The Liverpool boss has offered Borussia Dortmund £11 million for Christian Pulisic.The 17-year-old winger enjoyed a breakthrough season at Westfalenstadion last term, attracting attention from Europe’s big-hitters.
Dortmund are keen to keep hold of Pulisic, but Klopp is determined to recruit the youngster and develop his talent at Anfield.
Chelsea chase Inter midfielder Brozovic
Antonio Conte wants to recruit Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.Chelsea will have to shell out €30 million for the 23-year-old, who is also attracting interest from Juventus.
The Croatia international is edging towards a move as Inter Milan close in on deals for Gabriel Barbosa and João Mário.
Tottenham want Mangala
Don’t laugh, it’s true, according to ESPN. Tottenham genuinely want to sure up their defence with Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala. We’re not sure that will actually help.Since joining City for £32 million in 2014 the French defender has been less than convincing at the heart of the defence. The fans might just drive him to White Hart Lane themselves.

Ragnar Klavan has revealed Jurgen Klopp sent him a selfie to prove Liverpool’s interest in him wasn’t some sort of wind-up.The 30-year-old defender was a surprise addition to Klopp’s squad when he joined from Augsburg earlier in the summer.
And the Reds’ keenness to recruit Klavan shocked even the player himself, who initially thought his mates were pranking him when Klopp texted him.

Jores Okore appears to be the latest man heading out of Aston Villa, the Birmingham Mail report.The Danish centre-back, brought in by Paul Lambert in 2013, looks set to move back to his home country and FC Copenhagen, according to The Sun.
Okore, 24, is thought to have had a medical last night in Denmark as Roberto Di Matteo continues his significant overhaul of the squad.

The former England Under-21 international replaces the Brazilian, who left the Welsh capital earlier this month to join Premier League side Middlesbrough.
Bennett had been on the verge of signing for Sheffield Wednesday but Xia pulled the plug on the transfer at the eleventh hour, insisting the club wouldn’t sell to a promotion rival.
So he will now join up with the Bluebirds after signing a three-year-deal at the Cardiff City Stadium, WalesOnline report.
Palermo president says Balotelli wants to join
Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli wants to join Palermo, the Italian club’s president, Maurizio Zamparini, has said.However, his wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block.
Jurgen Klopp wants to sell the striker, who joined the Reds in 2014 but has just one Premier League goal to his name in a red shirt.
“I called (agent Mino) Raiola and he passed the phone over to Balotelli,” Zamparini told the Corriere dello Sport.
“Mario immediately confessed he’d be happy to come to Palermo. We did discuss the economic situation and I explained we could not afford wages above a certain level.
“We are interested, so we need Raiola to understand that Balotelli must reboot. He needs a club like Palermo, which of course is also where he was born: it’d be an immense advantage in the long run.
“We are very happy to keep him for a year and get him back to being the world class striker he once was.”
50 shades of Garay
Valencia are closing in on their replacement for Arsenal-bound Shkodran Mustafi.The Mestalla club are set to sign Zenit St Petersburg’s Ezequiel Garay in a deal worth around €20million.
Deportivo defender Sidnei could also make his way to Valencia, while Paco Alcacer is hoping to seal a move away from the club to join Barcelona.
Whether he is included in today’s squad to face Eibar will tell us much about the striker’s future.

BBC Sport claim the fee could rise as high as £5 million, with Saturday’s clash with Reading at the Cardiff City Stadium being the 31-year-old’s final game.
The Scotland international is widely regarded as one of the goalkeepers outside the top flight and there is often interest from Premier League clubs during transfer windows.

Newcastle closing in on two signings
Newcastle United are reportedly closing in on the signing of Palermo full-back Achraf Lazaar.The Morocco is wanted by Rafa Benitez with the Spaniard keen to add cover to his back four, report the Newcastle Chronicle.
Lazaar is believed to have been offered a five-year deal, with a fee of €3.5million agreed between the two clubs.
The left-back has also been linked with West Ham United this summer but Newcastle are keen to bring him to St James’ Park over the weekend.
Newcastle are also understood to be interested in Chelsea winger Christian Atsu but Benitez did not confirm or deny talk that the club are in for the Ghana international.

Liverpool have offered Borussia Dortmund £11million for American wonderkid Christian Pulisic.But it is believed that Dortmund will resist all attempts from Jurgen Klopp, their former coach, to lure the winger away from the club.
Klopp worked with Pulisic during his time at Dortmund, where the 17-year-old was in the club’s academy.
He became an instant hit when he was promoted to the first-team back in February, where he scored two goals.

Andreas Pereira loaned out to Granada
Jose Mourinho mentioned it in his press conference this afternoon and now it’s a confirmed deal.Manchester United forward Andreas Pereira has joined La Liga side Granada on loan for the rest of the season.
“I love Pereira and I wish he could be in my squad but he isn’t, he will go to Granada to play,” Mourinho said earlier today.
The Spanish side have confirmed that the player will train with the team tomorrow and will be presented to the media next week.
It’s been a busy day for Granada, who also confirmed a loan deal for promising Barcelona midfielder Sergi Samper.
Pep: City will help Joe Hart find a new club
Pep Guardiola has revealed that Manchester City will do everything possible to help Joe Hart find a new club.The Spaniard has frozen out the England number 1 since arriving in the Premier League earlier this summer, and handed Hart what appeared to all intents and purposes to be a farewell appearance against Steaua Bucharest in midweek.
With Claudio Bravo’s arrival, Hart is free to leave the club but after Sevilla and Everton - the two clubs with most significant reported interest - now both ruling themselves out the chase there is a question mark over whether City will be able to shift the England keeper.
“We want the best for [Hart],” said Guardiola.
“The club will help him find the best option.”
